What is the Specifications tool?

The Specifications tool provides easy access to critical, up-to-date information in project specifications for both office and field users. With the addition of this new tool, project teams can consult all construction documents (specs, plans, and models) in a unified platform - increasing collaboration and reducing risk.

Specifications Tool Objectives

1. Support specification contract documents to the same degree as visual documentation (plans and models) in Autodesk Build
2. Provide easy access to critical specification information to both office and field project members
3. Support Build customers in working with specifications in the context of all other project documentation (RFIs, Issues, PCOs, etc.) across the product

Feedback Expectations

1. Any project team member who is added to a Specifications tool enabled project is required to register for the Autodesk Feedback Portal and sign the NDA.
2. Plan to commit about 6 - 8 hours over the duration of the beta to test and provide feedback
3. The Specifications Team encourages all beta members to interact and discuss feedback on the forms. Healthy debate is always welcome.
4. The team will schedule regular office hours every 4 - 6 weeks to connect and gather additional feedback
