Number of Renderings in 360 Rendering

I rendered two images in the cloud. I went to my account settings to see how many renderings I could get on the cloud. It says 15 visualization jobs but says I have not used any of those - But I did two renderings?? What's the deal? How do I know how many I get? Also, are student accounts considered subscriptions or non-subscriptions? I see where is says the different number of renderings for those types of accounts. But is a student account a true subscription and will get 100 visualization jobs or just 15?

  • Hi Roxanne,

Is your account an old one? Could you try to create a new one?

    Thanks,
    Sally

  • I am an instructor at a university. I have had an account on students.autodesk.com for a year. My 360 Rendering account is probably 6 months old. I have some programs that the university pays for and some programs I get free student versions of so I can explain to them the process on how it works for them at students.autodesk.com. Is that old enough to need to create a new one? I don't even understand how I could set up a new account. The accounts have to be associated with the email address that's associated with the product right? If created a new account wouldn't I need another email address?

My real question is how many renderings can I tell the students they will get on the cloud? The answer will help us with time management on projects. So we know if we have to depend on their computers to render for 24+ hours/ rendering or if we can do more in the cloud. If I can get a clear answer on this then I don't need a new account.

Reading other questions on here it sounds like autodesk does not have a cap on the number of renderings right now, so I wondered if that was the reason my account said I hadn't used any renderings when I did.

  • Roxanne,

As far as I know, we just have two types of user: subscription user and free-trail user. No limitations for subscription user, and 15 free renderings for free-trail user. But currently, we have problem with the rendering counter, so it make users confused. We are trying to fix it.

    Thanks,
    Sally

  • Now that months have gone by and the rendering counter is fixed I have come back to this question. I created a new account with a gmail address that is different than the one that is tied to my student account with a .edu email address. Now I can see that the student account is a subscription account and will get the unlimited renderings. I can see this in the Account profile where it tells me how many visualization jobs I've done. It says free trial or subscription under that Autodesk 360 Rendering row heading.
